Katy Good, RN, BSN, MHA, CCS, CCDS has over 15 years of experience in healthcare and has been dedicated to Clinical Documentation Integrity since 2011. Katy has extensive experience in CDI across the continuum of care, from physician offices to the acute hospital setting. Katy is committed to ensuring comprehensive documentation and coding, driving accurate reimbursement, public profiling, and quality reporting. She has expertise in a variety of risk adjustment models including, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, CMS-HCCs, and HHS-HCCs. Most recently, Katy has been responsible for developing a CDI program to support hundreds of physicians participating in a new disease-specific value-based care program offered by CMS.
Katy was part of the ACDIS Advisory Board from 2017-2020. Amongst other industry initiatives, she assisted in the development of AHIMAs 2019 update of ‘Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice’. Katy is passionate about CDI education and enjoys mentoring CDI professionals, sharing at industry conferences, working directly with clinicians, and collaborating with the C-suite.
