Damon Schmelzle is an experienced Healthcare System Manager of HIM Coding, Clinical Documentation Improvement, and Acute Denials with over 15 years of experience. As a leader in CDI, Damon has a focus on quality initiatives involving patient safety indicators, as well as data analysis, auditing, and reporting. In her current role, she implemented an individualized Physician Education Program to improve engagement leading to improved query response rates and increased capture of major co-morbidities.
