Tamar Pleasant-Swain, RN, BSN, MBA, CMAC, is a proud mother of three and has a 6-year-old granddaughter. As a Registered Nurse executive leader, she has more than 30 years of healthcare administration, case management, revenue cycle, regulatory compliance, and corporate leadership at the local, regional, and national levels for both for-profit and nonprofit health systems. She has initiated local community education and health advocacy platforms to provide access for resource/service providers and those in need, project planning, mentorship and coalition-building across the care continuum. Tamar is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan School of Nursing in Ann Arbor, and is a Lifetime Member of the UM Alumni Association. She has received certifications and/or advanced degrees in business, case management, nursing, and healthcare administration. Tamar has been a member and board member/officer of the Great Lakes Chapter of the American Case Management Association (ACMA) since 2008, while building several complex transitions of care models, performance-driven clinical operations, and strategic succession planning, all in a collaborative team approach wherever she serves.
